Built to the tightest tolerances for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.
Speer Bonded bullets were designed to meet stringent law enforcement standards for dependability and performance. They features Uni-Cor technology which firmly bonds the core to the jacket and virtually eliminates bullet failures. The hollow point is created after the jacket is built. This helps produce maximum expansion and weigh retention while improving bullet feeding. A great personal defense bullet.

This round feels very strong in my 3" barreled 686. It is obviously more powerful than most off the shelf .357's. Great ammo for bear defense. Would get 5 stars, but the muzzle flash was huge. Fireballs are impressive at the range, but not good for self defense at night due to flash blindess.

Hoping for a bit better out of a 3" barrel

For my Taurus 689 with a 6" barrel these came in at 1445 ft/sec with a spread of 101 ft/sec. I was hoping with the 6" barrle these would come in a little higher. Other rounds that came in comperablely where the Hornady FTX and XTP. The Buffalo Bore with a 180gr bullet came in a 1355 ft/sec and was the only round to out perform this round in KE or TKOV.
For my Ruger SP101 with a 3" barrel these came in at 1296 ft/sec with a spread of 68 ft/sec.
These are great rounds and would love to try the 158gr offering.
Reply UnderwoodAmmo We are experimenting with new powders and will be boosting the velocity on our next run. Thanks for the review!

I absolutely love it, I wished that I could chronograph how fast it is out of my S&W 686 PP with a 6" barrel! Hearing protection is definitely a must but since my magnum is ported it is loud anyway! Very, very accurate I will suggest this ammo to everyone your prices are excellent!

From my Ruger SP101 2.25" barrel I'm getting a 5-shot average velocity of 1317fps with a 96fps spread. While it’s super hot at 1317fps, I was kind of hoping to get closer to 1350fps with a tighter spread.
Regardless, this is the hottest stuff I’ve ever put in my SP101, and it will be my new carry load. It's great stuff, its faster than Speer's offering, and it's well worth the affordable price.
